What is Pass Plus
Passing your driving test is an exciting time, however many new drivers think that once they have passed the test their learning is over!
Unfortunately that is not the case, whilst learning to drive it will have been impossible to gain experience on motorways, bad weather and sometimes night time driving.
Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident within the first 2 years of driving than at any other time of their driving career.
2 young people under 25 die every day in crashes in Great Britain
In their first year of driving 1 in 5 is involved in a crash
DON’T BECOME A STATISTIC !!
Pass Plus is a voluntary scheme that is designed to offer new drivers additional training in a wide variety of scenarios, such as Motorways, night time driving, hazards and differing road conditions.
It has advantages for new drivers too, by offering discounts on insurance premiums through participating insurance companies.
The Pass Plus course consists of an additional 6 hours training. There is no practical test at the end, but you will receive a certificate once you have completed the modules. This can be used to get lower Insurance Premiums for your first year of driving.
Special offers for Staffordshire Residents

Subsidised Pass Plus Extra Scheme
Staffordshire County Council's Road Safety & Sustainable Travel Unit is responsible for the administration of the Staffordshire PASS PLUS EXTRA subsidised scheme.
PASS PLUS is a Driving Standards Agency sponsored scheme to promote improved standards of driving, primarily among novice drivers.
The Council's contribution towards making the roads in Staffordshire safer, is to provide local drivers with a subsidy of up to 66% off the course cost, this means that by applying through the county council you will only pay £60. This subsidy is to provide financial assistance to those who wish to participate in the PASS PLUS EXTRA scheme.
Staffordshire Moorlands residents can benefit further from the scheme, as extra subsidies have been provided by the Staffs Moorlands Safer Community District Partnership. This means that Staffs Moorlands residents only have to pay £40 to complete the PASS PLUS EXTRA scheme; the aim is to increase the numbers of clients applying from this area.
Where can I get a PASS PLUS EXTRA application form? Contact myself on 07736470784.
If you live in Cheshire then the cost will be £120. If trained by myself then the cost will be only £100.
